This Cookie Policy explains when cookies and similar technologies are used on NerdVolt and how you can control them. It works together with the Privacy Policy.

What NerdVolt itself sets

NerdVolt does not currently set any cookies itself. The site is static, has no login, no shopping cart, and no account system. Your reading of guides, calculators, news, and policy pages does not place a NerdVolt cookie on your device.

Local browser storage used by site features

Site features may store small amounts of data in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. In particular, the Privacy Choices page stores your consent and advertising preference choices locally so the site can honor them on later visits. This storage is used only for your preferences and is not read by third parties.

Advertising cookies (applies when advertising is enabled)

When advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its approved vendors may place or read cookies and similar identifiers on your device for ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement, and (with consent where required) personalized advertising. These cookies are set by Google's ad-serving systems, not by NerdVolt, and are governed by Google's cookie policy and privacy policy.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, advertising cookies will be placed only after you make a choice in the consent banner or on the Privacy Choices page, and you can withdraw consent at any time. In applicable United States states, you can opt out of the advertising-related "sale" or "sharing" of personal information through the same controls.

How to control cookies

Blocking or deleting advertising cookies does not stop NerdVolt pages from working; it may only affect which ads you see.

Changes and questions

This policy will be updated if the site's cookie or advertising behavior changes. Questions can be sent to editor@nerdvolt.com. Effective date: August 14, 2026. Last updated: August 14, 2026.
