NerdVolt respects intellectual property rights and asks its readers to do the same. Unless stated otherwise, NerdVolt owns or is licensed to use the text, diagrams, tables, illustrations, and design published on this site. Third-party trademarks, product names, logos, and images belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary only, consistent with fair use where it applies.

Using NerdVolt content

You may quote brief passages with attribution and a link to the source page. For any other reuse — republication, reproduction of substantial portions, commercial use, or use of diagrams and illustrations — contact editor@nerdvolt.com in advance.

Reporting copyright infringement (DMCA notices)

NerdVolt is operated in the United States. If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a written notice with the following information to editor@nerdvolt.com:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
  • The exact URL(s) of the allegedly infringing material on nerdvolt.com;
  • Your contact information (name, email, and if applicable the entity you represent);
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner; and
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

NerdVolt does not currently maintain a registered DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office; the contact above is the site's designated address for takedown notices. Notices will be evaluated promptly, and material shown to be infringing will be removed. Counter-notices may be sent to the same address and will be handled as required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

Media and image rights

Images on this site are either original NerdVolt assets (including editorial illustrations created for NerdVolt), licensed assets, public-domain material, or manufacturer press assets used within their documented terms. The site's media-rights manifest records this information for each published image. If you believe an image lacks proper authorization, use the notice procedure above.
